Special
Chamber Member Only Opportunities for WinterFest
|
We are busy planning
WinterFest 2020! This event boosts business during a slower time
of year, brings new faces and return visitors to the High Country
each year, which often lead to relocation.
·
We
need our downtown businesses to sponsor ice sculptures to help us make the town look festive and
beautiful. You get to pick the design (or work with the ice
sculptors who have great ideas). Email Suzy@BlowingRock.com and
she'll bring an order form to you and do all the leg work!

Cycle NC
will bring 900+ riders to Blowing Rock on Sept. 28
|
The Cycle
North Carolina Mountains to Coast Ride starts
in Blowing Rock on September 28th! This means we'll be welcoming a
large crowd- nearly 900 riders have already registered for the
event. A mobile campsite is being set up in Davant field, and
some riders are staying in local hotels. That Saturday night will be a
very busy evening for restaurants! There is also a home game at ASU,
so we'll all need to be ready for crowds. The ride begins at
7:30am on Sunday morning, and all riders will be out of town by
9:00am.
This event
has required a lot of advance planning. Event coordinators met
this week with several members of Town departments to discuss
details. If you have any questions about the event, please email Amanda@VisitBlowingRock.com or call the TDA at 295-4636.

Any event that invites the public, or any open community event or
meeting should be included! The photo theme for 2020 will be a
collection of historic postcards. Send events to amanda@visitblowingrock.com for consideration.
