3 Days, 3 Ribbon Cuttings - Great Things Happening in Blowing Rock!
It's been a busy few days for ribbon cuttings! We've celebrated the opening of The Ridgeline, welcomed Mazarine Mopeds to the community, and unveiled the new entrance to Mayview Plaza! Check out our blog at the link below to read more about these celebrations and to see a few pictures!



Farmers Market
Thursdays, 4-6 pm
Held each Thursday afternoon on Park Avenue, the Blowing Rock Farmers Market offers a great selection of farm raised meats, produce, cheese, honey, eggs, flowers, artisanal breads & desserts, natural body products, whole foods and more from area farmers! Parking is available at the American Legion.




Ribbon Cutting
July 6th at 10:45 am
Join us for a ribbon cutting celebration for the NEW AppalCART Blowing Rock shuttle service! Gather at the Main Street Entrance to Memorial Park, Downtown Blowing Rock.



First Friday Sip & Shop
July 6th, 3 pm - until...
Blowing Rock merchants invite you to join them for a "Happy Hour" style stroll where you can sip and shop! Many stores may stay open late. Stop by your favorite shops, or check out a new one, before heading to Music on the Lawn. Free refreshments at participating locations!



Art in the Park
July 14th, 10 am - 5 pm
Join us on Park Avenue, Downtown Blowing Rock, rain or shine! Some of the best local and regional artists and craftspeople showcase their handcrafted jewelry, pottery, fiber, glass, photography, and much more! Free trolley from Food Lion and Tanger Outlets!



Concert in the Park
July 15th, 4 - 6 pm
Family friendly and casual! Bring a lawn chair or blanket to Memorial Park, Downtown Blowing rock and enjoy jazz and swing music by Swing Set!

Round Up for the Greenway
The Entire Month of July
This is a community-wide fundraiser by High Country businesses supporting the Middle Fork Greenway. Businesses are participating by asking their customers to round up their purchase to the next dollar, give to a donation jar, visit the website and donate, giving a percentage of their sales for the month, or giving a one-time donation. The goal is to raise funds to leverage state and federal grants to get the next section constructed.




An Appalachian Summer Festival
July 1st - August 4th
An Appalachian Summer Festival brings the best in music, dance, theatre, visual arts and film programming to Boone. This year's performances include Kool & The Gang, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Rhiannon Giddens, Kristin Chenoweth and much more!

Summer Exhibition Celebration

The Turchin Center for the Visual Arts will celebrate four new exhibitions in grand style. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists and gain an insider's view of the featured exhibitions. This festive evening will include live music, refreshments, and a cash bar. The event is free and open to the public.



Groundbreaking Ceremony
July 10th at 11 am
Premier Sotheby's International Realty Blowing Rock invites you to a groundbreaking ceremony for The Townes at Blowing Rock, the new community of six charming residences amidst the breathtaking backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Townes is located at 375 Chestnut Drive, across from the Chestnut construction project at the old hospital site.



Old Time Jamboree
July 10th at 2 pm
Enjoy Strictly Strings with Rodney Sutton at the Harvest House Performing Arts Venue, Boone. This is a pay as you exit concert with a $10 suggested donation,



Food Truck Night
July 11th, 6 - 8 pm
First Baptist Blowing Rock invites the entire community to this event! All Thai’d Up Ice Cream,The Cardinal Boone, EggRollin’, and J&J’s Hawaiian Shaved Ice food trucks will be here, and Watauga Community Band’s 5-Piece Jazz Group will provide some great music. In the event of rain, updates will be posted on the Church's Facebook page.

2018 Blowing Rock Plein Air Festival
July 13th & 14th
Registered artists must check in at the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum (BRAHM) to have their canvas or paper stamped prior to beginning work. The festival will conclude on the evening of July 14th with an exhibition and sale of the art created over the two days of painting. Hands-on plein air workshops will also be held at BRAHM in the week preceding the festival.



Ashe County Farm Tour
July 14th, Noon - 7 pm
Join Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture on a guided bus tour that will allow an engaging story to unfold about our local High Country food system and the passion and diligence that drives our local farmers.

Blowing Rock 4th of July Celebration
July 7th
Join the town of Blowing Rock in Memorial Park for a day of family fun, games, live music, and more! The best small-town parade you'll find anywhere begins at 2 pm on Main Street!



Monday Night Concert Series
July 9th at 7 pm
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to Broyhill Park and enjoy jazz guitarist, Andy Page! Concerts are free!
