Ribbon Cuttings at The Ridgeline, Mazarine Mopeds and Mayview Plaza

Ribbon Cuttings at The Ridgeline, Mazarine Mopeds and Mayview Plaza

It's been a busy few days for ribbon cuttings! On Thursday, June 28, we celebrated the opening of The Ridgeline Food & Spirits, formerly known as Canyons Restaurant. A large crowd came by to see the newly remodeled restaurant and take in the gorgeous view from the deck. Ridgeline served a selection of appetizers and guests enjoyed draft beer, wine and specialty cocktails at the redesigned bar. Congratulations to owners Rich and Faisuly Scheurer!

Then on Friday, June 29, we headed to Mazarine Mopeds to welcome this sporty new addition to the Blowing Rock business community. Guests admired their bright and shiny new selection of mopeds for rental or purchase, and enjoyed snacks and cupcakes. Owners Robert and Christy Frase held a drawing for an 8-hour, 4-hour and 2-hour rental. As you can see, a great time was had by all!

On Monday, July 2, The Village Foundation, Chamber's Economic Development Council, and Town of Blowing Rock held a ribbon cutting for the completion of the Mayview Plaza beautification project. Speakers from each organization shared their gratitude for the generous donations from local citizens and businesses to fund construction. The plaza features four stone monuments dedicated to the four pillars of the tourism economy in Blowing Rock: Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian Ski Mountain, The Blowing Rock Attraction, and the Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show. There is also a new rock monument at the corner of Main Street and Laurel Lane dedicated to Mayview Manor and its historical significance to Blowing Rock.
