Farmers Market
The Blowing Rock Farmers Market is held on Park Avenue every Thursday, 4 pm - 6 pm through October. This year's market is three times the size of last season!

Come on out for local produce and goods from area farmers! If there's light rain, the market is still open - just bring your umbrella!

Recap: Business After Hours at Tweetsie Railroad
Fun was had by all at this joint Business After Hours at Tweetsie Railroad on Tuesday, August 22nd! It's double the fun when the Boone Chamber joins us! It was a fantastic evening of celebrating Tweetsie's 60th Anniversary along with networking, food & beverages, giveaways and a lot of laughs!

The next Business After Hours will be Tuesday, September 19th at Chetola.

Payroll News: New Overtime Wage Level Under Review
The Department of Labor (DOL) has announced they are putting the new overtime rule implemented under the Obama administration under review by putting out a Request for Information to the business community. Read More

A Seminar for Small Businesses Entering Emerging Markets

The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) is set up by the federal government as a private corporation to assist businesses wishing to enter the international marketplace.

OPIC is a quasi-government agency that assists business in this country who are looking to expand into the world market. They are conducting a seminar in Charlotte to fully explain what they do and how they can help. 
Seminar is free and open to the public.

Boone and Blowing Rock made it to Round 2 and are still in the running for Blue Ridge Outdoors' Top Adventure Town 2017!

There are now 24 "mountain biking meccas, paddling paradises, hiking nirvanas, and much more" contending for the top spot. 

Boone and Blowing Rock are featured together. Voting for the second round will be open until August 28th and you can vote once a day! Bookmark the voting site to it's easy to find!
