Dark in the Park! Monday, August 21st, 2 pm - 3 pm Chamber Lawn Come to the Dark Side - We Have Treats! Join us for an Eclipse Party! We will gather at the Chamber and party on the lawn (or walk to Memorial Park) to celebrate Eclipse 2017. Sun Chips, Moon Pies, Solar Punch (Loni's special recipe!) and lots of fun await! See you on the dark side! It's going to be "TOTALITY AWESOME"! This is a BYOG event! **(bring your own glasses)** Tips for Safe Viewing

Many members are having special eclipse events too (Canyons, Appalachian State and Grandfather Mountain to name a few). If you have time to go to those venues, we encourage you to go and enjoy a spectacular event.     Shop Owners: If you aren't hosting an event and can close shop for 30 minutes we would love to have you come out and celebrate a truly "once in a lifetime" event. The eclipse lasts about 2 minutes.

Business After Hours Tuesday, August 22nd at 5 pm Tweetsie Railroad Meet us on Main Street at Tweetsie Railroad for a fun evening of networking, nibbles, refreshments and giveaways! Don't forget your business card! Double the fun . . . our friends from the Boone Chamber will be joining us! Business After Hours events are free to members of the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce.

Vote for Boone & Blowing Rock! Boone and Blowing Rock are in the running for Blue Ridge Outdoors' Top Adventure Town 2017! According to the outdoor magazine, they have "narrowed the field to 48 mountain biking meccas, paddling paradises, hiking nirvanas, and much more." Now it's time for readers to vote for their favorites! Boone and Blowing Rock are featured together. Voting for the first round will be open till August 21 and folks can vote once a day!  You must be registered with the site to vote, but registration is free.

A Starry Night Saturday, August 19th at 5:30 pm The evening begins with A Moveable Feast featuring dinners in private homes, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Then, the party moves to BRAHM for All That Jazz, an after party of cocktails, dessert, jazz and more, from 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Learn More

Rotary Auction Saturday, August 19th at 3 pm American Legion Fun, food and wine! Doors open at 3 pm, silent auction ends at 5:30 pm. Live auction at 5 pm. All proceeds are returned to High Country charities. Over the last 4 years over $105,000 has been given to benefit our community.
