Last Chance!
Come join us for the Blowing Rock Chamber Annual Awards Luncheon presented by SkyLine SkyBest, and see who the big winners are. The luncheon will be held at the Green Park Inn on Tuesday, February 15th at 11:30 am. Enjoy a wine and beer tasting prior to lunch. Tickets are $35 each and will be available for purchase
by calling 828-295-7851.

Seats will be limited due to Covid restrictions so don’t wait to reserve your seats. Masks required.
Counterfeit Money
It has come to our attention that there are counterfeit $100 bills floating around Blowing Rock and the surrounding area. The bank has alerted us that these bills are not detectable with the counterfeit pen. According to the bank, the only way to detect them is that the back side is darker than a normal bill.
Hometown Harvet
The Blowing Rock Hometown Harvest covered dish dinner will return Sunday, March 13, at the Blowing Rock Conference Center from 5:30pm-7:30pm. The event, which has not been held since 2019, is typically held in the Fall. Organizers delayed the 2021 event to the spring of 2022 hoping to be able to safely bring the community together. This year’s event will coincide with the Town of Blowing Rock’s 133rd Birthday. The Blowing Rock Historical Society will present this year’s historical markers during the dinner.

Guests are asked to bring their favorite covered dish or dessert to share. Blowing Rock Conference Center will provide the main protein for the meal. Traditionally, community members bring a donation for Casting Bread Ministries, a local food bank, to the event. Non-perishable food items like cereal, canned goods, oatmeal, sugar, and flour or financial donations are appreciated, checks can be made out to “Casting Bread”.
New this year, Table Décor Contest! Prizes will be awarded for the centerpiece that represents the “Best of Blowing Rock” and “Most Creative” for the most unique and fun centerpiece. Contact the Chamber of Commerce to participate in the Table Décor Contest by March 4th.

Hometown Harvest is organized by: Blowing Rock Art & History Museum, Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce, Blowing Rock Historical Society, Blowing Rock Rotary Club and Blowing Rock Parks & Recreation. Please call 828-295-7851 with any questions.

Watauga Covid-19 Update
In areas with substantial and high transmission, the CDC recommends that everyone (including fully vaccinated individuals) wear a mask in public indoor settings to help prevent the spread of the Delta variant, and to protect others. Watauga County is considered an area of High transmission.

AppHealthCare offers COVID-19 testing by drive-thru Monday through Friday 8:30-10:00am at each of our clinic locations. No appointment is needed.

Beginning Friday, January 28th, we will be partnering with StarMed Healthcare to expand COVID-19 testing at our Watauga location ONLY and prior registration for testing will be required. The registration process applies to our Watauga location only. Instructions to register can be found on our COVID-19 testing page. If someone is unable to register prior to testing, staff will be on-site to assist in completing the needed information. For any issues registering, call StarMed Customer Service at 704-941-6000.

As a reminder, for all our locations, testing hours are 8:30-10:00 am Monday through Friday. We offer both PCR and rapid tests in a drive-thru format.
