The Blowing Rock Chamber Candidates Forum will be held on October 14th at the Blowing Rock School Auditorium beginning at 5:30 pm.
The Blowing Rock Civic Association Candidates Forum will be held today, October 3rd at the American Legion with a social at 6:15 and the forum at 7 pm.

Fall Exhibition Celebration at the Turchin Center!
Friday, Oct. 4th from 6 - 10 pm
During Boone's Downtown Art Crawl

During this event the Turchin Center will feature six exhibitions, including the opening of
Keith Bryant: Metaphorical Reality in the Mayer Gallery.

Numerous exhibiting artists will be on-hand to meet visitors and provide insight into their intriguing work.

The musical group Belleville Rendezvous will perform, refreshments and a cash bar will also be available. This event is free and open to the public.


Sign-Up to Design a Tree at Festival of Trees by Oct. 5th!
Design a tree in support of WYN (Western Youth Network). Your tree will be seen by hundreds of people and auctioned to benefit WYN. Tree themes are first come, first served.



2019 Fisher Grand Prix Winner Venezuelan Luis Larrazabal and Cassini Mira Flores on their way to winning the third James H. Fisher International Grand Prix, and first time event in Blowing Rock
Recap: James. H. Fisher Memorial Grand Prix raises over $100,000 for Hunger
The Grand Prix itself offered $50,000 in prize money, the largest purse ever offered at the Broyhill Equestrian Preserve. 24 horses representing 6 countries competed in the event.

Valle Country Fair Returns Oct. 19th
Mountain music, handmade crafts, barbecue, Brunswick stew, apple cider, apple butter, and peak autumn color all come together in a huge hay field at the heart of Valle Crucis, NC, on Saturday, October 19 at the Valle Country Fair. What started as a little church bazaar in 1978 now welcomes thousands and has raised more than $1 million for local charities over its first 40 years.
