Nominations for Board of Directors Now Open!
The Blowing Rock Chamber is looking for a few good people to serve on its board of directors. Each year at this time the board takes nominations for board seats from the membership at large. If you know of someone, perhaps yourself, who would be interested in being part of a very active group of business leaders helping to forge the future of our community while supporting and promoting our business members, please email Charles Hardin. These nominees, along with those submitted by the board, will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee and a slate of directors will be submitted to the membership for a vote in late October or early November.

Vote Blowing Rock the South's Best
Voting is now open for Southern Living's South's Best awards 2019. We all know Blowing Rock is the best of the best, but let's vote and make sure readers of Southern Living Magazine know as well! Online voting is open through October 9th. (Helpful hint: when voting online and you're asked "What states have you visited", if you select "None of the Above", you'll have NC cities and towns in your voting selections).

WELCOME NEW MEMBER
Storie Street Grille
Storie Street Grill is under new ownership! Local Blowing Rock couple Lela and Aaron Silver have taken this wonderful opportunity to shine in our community. Aaron has been the Executive Chef at Storie Street for the last 2 years and Lela is the former General Manager at Over Yonder.

"Our goal at Storie Street Grille is to contribute to creative dining which seems to be burgeoning in Blowing Rock, make our guests feel like they are a part of our family, and support local NC agriculture and spirits. Guests can look forward to us polishing up the menus and giving back to our community through sponsorships and event dinners. We want to make every guest feel that they know us as people, not just an establishment they eat at occasionally. Great food and atmosphere are important, but if guests do not know your heart, you aren't feeding their full palate."

Visit Storie Street Grille at 1167 Main Street, Downtown Blowing Rock. Call 828-295-7075 for information.
