Ribbon Cutting for Lakeside Tent at Chetola Resort

On Wednesday, September 5, we joined with the Boone Area and Caldwell County Chambers to celebrate and experience the new lakeside tent at Chetola Resort. Chetola's Director of Marketing, Meetings & Events, Bryan Moore, welcomed guests to the upgraded facility that includes new all-weather flooring, improvements to landscaping and grounds, and space to comfortably seat 300 guests. With the demolition of ASU's Broyhill Center in early 2017, the High Country was lacking a meeting space that could accommodate this many guests, a need that was greatly affecting the ability of our local non-profit organizations to host successful fundraisers. Chetola saw the need in the community and stepped up to fill it, simultaneously improving it's offering for wedding events.

The tent was beautifully lit and decorated, and music from local husband and wife duo The Kincaids provided a lovely accompaniment to the evening. Drinks, hors d'oeuvres and catching up with friends kept guests hanging around long after the ribbon cutting ceremony.
