Symphony 2018: A Picture-Perfect Evening
On Friday, July 27th, over 4,000 guests gathered at Chetola Resort on a beautiful night to catch up with friends, eat, drink and listen to live music. The evening ended with a brilliant fireworks display over Chetola Lake. It was an unforgettable night out in Blowing Rock!



First Friday Sip & Shop
August 3rd, 3 pm - Until...
Blowing Rock Merchants invite you to join them for a "happy hour" style stroll where you can sip and shop from 3 pm until... (many stores may be open late!). Stop by your favorite shops, or check out a new one, before heading over to music on the lawn! Free refreshments at participating locations!




Summer Accelerator Student Presentations
August 9th at 3:30 pm
This summer, 8 students from Blowing Rock School participated in the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics' Summer Accelerator program. Join us at the American Legion to watch the students present what they learned. Please RSVP - we want to make sure there's enough Kilwin's ice cream for everyone!




Art in the Park
August 11th, 10 am - 5 pm
Join us on Park Avenue, Downtown Blowing Rock for some of the best local and regional handcrafted jewelry, pottery, fiber, glass, photography, paintings, and more.

Free parking downtown on the street and in the parking decks on Wallingford Street and at BRAHM. Free trolley from Tanger Outlets and Food Lion, all day, looping every 20 minutes.



Sunday Concerts in the Park
August 12th, 4 - 6 pm
Free, family-friendly and casual! Bring a lawn chair or blanket to Memorial Park, Downtown Blowing Rock and enjoy Soul Americana music by Ashley Heath.

In the Heights at Lees-McRae
Now Through August 4th
From Hamilton composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, In the Heights musically presents three generations in Washington Heights, New York. Their American dreams reveal nostalgia, love, and concern for their neighborhood, mixed with Latin music from their countries and the rhythms of the street. This show is PG-13.



Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show
Now Through August 5th, 8 am - 5 pm
The second week of Hunter-Jumper Divisions are showing through Sunday at the Broyhill Equestrian Preserve. The show is nearly 100 years old, and has brought competitors from all over for decades.



The Denim Ball
August 3rd at 6 pm
Join the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation at Chetola Resort for a fun-filled fundraising ball to benefit Moses H. Cone Memorial Park. Enjoy dinner, drinks, auction, and live music!



12th Annual Blowing Rock Art & Antiques Show
August 3rd - 5th
Held at the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum, the Blowing Rock Art & Antiques Show showcases a variety of art and antiques vendors from across the Southeast. Art lovers and antique hunters alike are invited to visit the show.



Ribbon Cutting & Community Resource Fair
August 8th, 11 am - 2 pm
Casting Bread Ministries invites you to a ribbon cutting for their newly launched Welcome Center on the campus of FaithBridge UMC. Enjoy a cookout, music, and entertainment.
