Blowing Rock Young Professionals

Blowing Rock Young Professional’s (BRYP) is open to anyone, age 21 - 45. Meetings are quarterly, no charge to join. Each event will have a different topic with a speaker (10 minutes).

BRYP's mission is to create a platform for members to build relationships, both professionally and personally, to engage politically and philanthropically, and to contribute to projects that enrich our community.

Blowing Rock Named One of America's Favorite Places to Visit!

Expedia.com polled 1,000 Americans to determine their favorite medium and small towns to visit in the U.S. Blowing Rock landed at #16 on the list of 25 with TWO of our MEMBERS receiving FEATURES!


Expedia recommends visitors check out the groomed trails and freestyle terrain at Appalachian Ski Mountain, or test their limits with swinging bridge challenges and extreme ATV rides with Sky Valley Zip Tours.



The National Show Hunter Hall of Fame has announced that The Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show has been selected as one of the top ten hunter shows in the country and is therefore nominated for the 2018 Horse Show of the Year award. This award is given each year to a Hunter type horse show which maintains the highest standards in Hunter competition. The Horse Show of the Year Award will be presented in Pennsylvania at the end of May. We hope to hear more good news then! Read More
Harris Prevost of Grandfather Mountain and Dr. Dana Clark of Appalachian State University both accepted the NC Winners Circle Award at the VisitNC 365 Conference on Monday. The Winners Circle Award originated in 2004 in an effort to recognize communities, organizations, events and people in the tourism industry that have made significant and continuing contributions to the growth and success of North Carolina's tourism industry. Past recipients include Richard Petty, Spencer Robbins, and Hugh Morton.

Foggy Rock Temporarily Closed
for Repairs
Foggy Rock Eatery & Pub is closed to repair and replace their heating and air conditioning unit.

They plan to reopen on Thursday, March 15th. Watch their Facebook page for updates.

In the meantime, please visit Sunny Rock for breakfast or lunch!


St. Paw-trick's Day Celebration

It's Time to Register the Kids for Summer Day Camp!
Summer is almost here and do you know what that means? Summer Day Camp 2018!

Summer camp is offered to rising kindergarten -rising 6th graders. Activities include games, arts and crafts, swimming at the pool, weekly field trips, hiking, fishing and more!

Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday, March 11th!

While cell phones and many other clocks will automatically adjust to the time change, your old fashioned digital ones will need to be reset. Don't forget to "spring forward" before you go to bed this Saturday night!
