A survey of just nine questions is currently available. These are not multiple-choice questions; the open-ended format allows respondents to give full opinions and suggestions. Symphony by the Lake tickets are SOLD OUT! There was an overwhelming response for tickets to Symphony by the Lake at Chetola this year. Because of the interest in this event, tickets sold out almost three weeks in advance! Unit sales total 1,500 homes sold this year, with June accounting for 287 of those sales. Last month most homes sold in less than 60 days of the list date. The High Country MLS reports the median sold date within 44 days of being on the market. It is evident that buyers are looking for homes quickly, which increases the demand for inventory. This week's Artists in Residence are Earl Davis with Oil Landscapes, and David & Barbara Ballesty with Pottery. In Earl’s landscape paintings, he explores the effect of light on scenes in nature as he takes inspiration from hiking national parks, roaming trails of the Blue Ridge, and fishing the streams of the High Country. Earl authors a column in The Blowing Rocket entitled “Raccoon Theology” and is pastor of Middle Fork Baptist Church. Located in beautiful Artists Alley in Blowing Rock, David and Barbara offer custom pottery for both functional needs and sheer enjoyment, including serving vessels, dinnerware, vases, and decorative sculpture.   Artists in Residence at Edgewood Cottage continues through September 19 and is open every day.   All dates and artists here More events and updates can be found on our online calendar.
