2018 Chamber Award Winners!

On Tuesday, February 12, The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 32^nd Annual Awards Ceremony. This luncheon is our annual opportunity to honor businesses voted “the best” in each category by the Chamber members.

 

Each of these businesses were nominated by Chamber members, and voted on by Chamber members. It is a great honor to be selected by other businesses for excelling in this marketplace. 

2019 Chamber Chairman of the Board, Billy Chick served as emcee and spoke about his theme for the year, which is "let's build together" -- whether its building business, building relationships, or building a stronger Blowing Rock. Hence, the lego theme!

The Ridgeline received the Award for Commercial Renovation.

Jim McDowell of Mountainaire Inn & Log Cabins received the Award for Service to the Community.

The Spice & Tea Exchange received the Award for Best Customer Service.

Charlie Sellers received the Jerry Burns Ambassadorial Award.

First Citizens Bank – Rita Davis & Team received the Award for Outstanding Business Service. Rita wasn't able to be at the event, but we honored her by sharing a photo of her in action!

The Beaver College of Health Sciences at Appalachian State University received the Award for Major Economic Driver of 2018.

Jim Pitts was honored as the 2018 Volunteer of the Year.

VPC Builders was awarded Business of the Year. The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year excels in areas of community involvement, business promotion, and teamwork. The Business of the Year will demonstrate high ethical standards and community spirit in accordance with the mission of the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce.
