Baby News!
Meadow Allison Miller has arrived! Our Director of Membership Services, Loni Miller, and her husband Matt, welcomed their new daughter into the world at 8:33 am on Tuesday, June 19th. Meadow weighed 7 pounds and measured 20 1/4 inches. Momma and baby are doing excellent! Their son, Porter is already a wonderful big brother to his precious baby sister. The Miller family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, love and support!

When asked how their family is doing, Loni said, "We are over the moon!"


The June Business After Hours
was Fantastic!
We had a wonderful crowd with the great weather for Business After Hours yesterday. Our hosts, The Speckled Trout Restaurant and Bottle Shop provided wonderful food and beverages, and handed out some great door prizes. Read More

In March 1933, within weeks of his inauguration, President Franklin Roosevelt sent legislation to Congress aimed at providing relief for unemployed American workers. He proposed the Civilian Conservation Corps to provide jobs in natural resource conservation. Read More

Singing on the Mountain

The Wiz
Opening Sunday, June 24th at 2 pm
Lees-McRae Summer Theatre

The Wiz is a retelling of The Wizard of Oz with a “soulful” twist. Every song is uplifting, and every journey is a parable telling us how to see a better world. Magical places with outlandish characters helped this show earn seven Tony Awards including Best Musical. All ages will enjoy this great musical.


Round Up for the Middle Fork Greenway Kickoff Event

Heritage Day & Wood Kiln Opening
Saturday, June 30th, 10 am - 5 pm
Bolick & Traditions Pottery, Lenoir

2018 marks the 27th Annual Heritage Day. Be present at 10 am to watch us unload the groundhog style wood kiln. Face jugs, hand sculpted items, mugs, swirl vases, candlesticks, teapots & more. 

Enjoy storytelling, live music, and other artist demonstrations. Food served all day with all proceeds going to help widows in Haiti.
