We're Good Sports... a Ribbon Cutting On the afternoon of December 28th, Main Street and its shops were bustling with the post-holiday crowd as Dan, Laurel, Chamber staff, board members and town dignitaries cut the ceremonial ribbon on We're Good Sports on Main Street. Read More

Doors open at 7:15 am; the event will end promptly at 9 am. Free parking will be available in the Appalachian Ski Mountain member lot, which provides easy access to the Snow Cloud Room.

High Country Economic Kickoff Breakfast January 24th at 7:30 am The 3rd Annual High Country Economic Kickoff Breakfast is co-hosted by the Blowing Rock and Boone Area Chambers of Commerce and is presented by Peak Group.Insure, formerly the Nationwide Insurance Charles Eyler Agency. The event will be held in the Snow Cloud Room at Appalachian Ski Mountain. Longtime Appalachian State Walker College of Business faculty member, Dr. Harry Davis, will deliver his 2019 economic forecast. Tickets are $10 for Chamber members, $15 for non-members. Fabulous Fashions at WinterFest Retail members, we're extending the deadline to register to participate in the 2019 WinterFashion Show at Chetola Resort on Friday, Jan. 25th to this Monday, Jan. 7th. Please review the info (linked below) and return your form to Katy Reisterer. Tickets are available online or at the Chamber for $35 or are $40 at the door. Local Realtors Donated Thousands to Area Organizations Local Realtors distributed more than $14,000 to more than a dozen area organizations in 2018, continuing a tradition of community philanthropy. The High Country Association of Realtors (HCAR), which unites real estate professionals within Alleghany, Ashe, Avery and Watauga counties, annually donates thousands of dollars to various community groups.
