Ribbon Cutting TODAY!

High Gravity Adventures
High Altitude Zip Line Tour & Free Fall

Join the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce and our friends from the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce for this fun ribbon cutting! Come celebrate High Gravity Adventure's new feature - a 1,000 foot long zip over the Tweetsie Railroad trestle that ends with a heart pumping 70 foot "free fall" experience!

High Gravity Adventures invited the Chamber's Events Director, Billie Rogers and her husband Charles to take a ride yesterday and got their experience on video! Check it out!

Do You Have Tickets?
Symphony by the Lake is just around the corner, Friday, July 28th! This year's theme is "Oh the Places You'll Go" and it's going to be great!

Gates open at 5:30 pm, Todd Wright Quintet begins at 5:45 pm and Symphony of the Mountains Orchestra at 7:30 pm. Fireworks immediately following!

Advance tickets are $40 ($15 for kids under 12) and can be purchased online, in person at the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce or by calling 828.295.7851. Will call tickets must be picked up at the Chamber prior to the event. 
If you wait to purchase at the gate, tickets are $10 more and it will take you longer to get in!

Did you know... We have a rack card listing all of the Blowing Rock shops that are open late? Come by the Chamber for a copy.  These are great to share with hotel guests and visitors who are looking for something to do after 6 pm!

An Appalachian Summer Festival Presents: Jennifer Nettles

Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts

Grammy Award-winning Country superstar Jennifer Nettles has become one of the most admired singer-songwriters in music today. Since exploding onto the music scene in 2004 as lead vocalist for international duo Sugarland, Nettles has recently released her debut album "Playing With Fire.”

The Hawk 7K
Saturday, September 16th at 8 am
Hawksnest, Seven Devils

Register now for this 7K loop with uphill and downhill stretches, beginning and ending in the same location! Participants will enjoy a spectacular race course overlooking both Seven Devils and Grandfather Mountain. Refreshments and entertainment will included throughout the day.
