Always on Sundays following Art in the Park, Sunday Concerts in the Park offer free, family-friendly entertainment! Bring a lawn chair or blanket! The 2017 Season of Concerts in the Park is sponsored by Diamond Properties and kicks off with Bluegrass/Folk/Blues by Handlebar Betty!

Mountain Ninja Warrior Sponsorship Applications Open
The Mountain Ninja Warrior community fundraiser and competition is returning to High Gravity Adventures! Planning is underway for this all-day event to be held on Sunday, October 1st, and this is the call for your business to get involved! Event sponsorships and team fundraisers are available this year!



Music on the Lawn
Friday, May 12th at 5:30 pm
Inn at Ragged Gardens

Music on the Lawn is held every Friday evening, May through October (weather permitting) with a different band featured every week. Concerts are free; cash bar & lawn menu are available. Bring a lawn chair and arrive early to secure a spot on the lawn. No pets, coolers or outside food and beverage. The 2017 season kicks off tomorrow with King Bees performing!

Shoe Drive: The Watauga Humane Society is conducting a shoe collection drive May 15th - July 15th to raise funds for the care, feeding, love and medical needs of our shelter animals.

Tyrus: The Documentary

Blowing Rock Art and History Museum

Set against a backdrop of immigration, poverty and racial prejudice, Tyrus is the true story of 105 year old pioneering Chinese-American artist Tyrus Wong, revealed through the lens of filmmaker Pamela Tom.

Midnight at the Oasis

Celebrating 39 years of service, information and shelter. OASIS (Opposing Abuse with Service, Information, and Shelter) is a private, 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Watauga and Avery Counties.

Tickets: $35 per person. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, cash bar and dancing.
