Blowing Rock Frameworks & Gallery Celebrates 25 Years in Business!

We are proud to raise a toast to our friends at Blowing Rock Frameworks & Gallery as they celebrate their 25th year in business!

Here are a few interesting facts about this gem in our community, from their perspective:

There have been many changes, renovations, and updates in the last few years including a revamped gallery ceiling, floors, and lighting. We have also completely renovated the frame area for a fresh contemporary look, with new paint, open windows, a new design table, and new flooring.

Beyond the fresh façade of the company, the roots here have always been the same with Tim Miller, Certified Picture Frame and Guild Commended Framer of the Fine Art Trade Guild in London. and owner, leading the way in framing and art sales in Blowing Rock.

We have state of the art framing tools including a computerized mat cutter, and high grade cutting and joining equipment for creating the perfect frame.

We have framed over 32,000 pieces of art.

Recently, employee Alex Cirulis, an Appalachian State alumn, who has been with the company for four years, earned her accolade as a Certified Picture Framer (CPF) making Blowing Rock Frameworks & Gallery the only frame shop in northwestern North Carolina (Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Hickory, Wilkesboro, and Lenoir) to have two CPFs working side-by-side.

Blowing Rock Frameworks & Gallery is proud to be the Nation’s leading seller of Elliott Daingerfield paintings. Since 1994, the gallery has sold over 162 Daingerfield paintings, with some years numbering up to 14 paintings sold!

We sell local and contemporary artists including Lita Gatlin, Jason Drake, Wes Waugh, Robin Wellner, Karla Mann, Richard Fennell, and many more.

Other than Daingerfield, we sell some historical and antique art by artist of the Hudson River Painters including Hermann Herzog. Also we sell works by notable artists Phillip Moose, Edward Szmyd and Robert Broderson.

Beyond simple framing, we tackle all projects with a creative eye and motivated drive for perfection. We frame objects with shadowboxes, we do decorative mats including hand drawn French lines and panels. We can also put perfectly written text on mats. Variations of mat and frame designs are endless here.

Blowing Rock Frameworks & Gallery is a proud member of Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce, Boone Chamber of Commerce, and recently Caldwell Chamber of Commerce and we are proud to support the other local businesses in our area.
